Gosh I'm going to miss teaching these kids ...

One of my eighth-grader's year-end definition of poetry:

"Poetry is something that exposes the root of beauty - namely love."

If that's the conclusion your young student came to, I wish you could teach me.

OK, he had a little help over the course of the semester in putting some of these ideas together, but he did really did craft the final thing himself.

Great words - but love only has meaning to us when weighed against God's justice, or man's self-centered hatred. U. Danny

But even God's justice is rooted in his being, and his being is love.

Beneath even the justice of God is his love for what he has created, and especially for us.

At least that's how I've come to see and live it.

I agree, God's over-arching character is love, but it helps me to see the other subserveant attributes that are key to His holy nature not fade in the shadows of His holy love.

I trust the transition to your new position will be smooth and yet challenging. U. Danny
