And Happy Father's Day to Me!

So, today while we were in church, Anna passed me a little note that said, "What do you want to do for father's day?" Normally, we don't do notes in church, but we had left their church bags at home with their Bibles and books and everything. So I wrote her back a quick little list, which we managed to complete all but one of!

The first thing I wanted to do was go to a library, but the Minneapolis library wasn't open when we got there, so we played around on the local art.

The library opened at noon, so we went in and each got books from the regular stacks on topics of interest.

Dietrich: World War II
Anna: weather
Emily: birds
Nora: sea creatures
Papa: photography (Jeff Wall today)
Mommy: insects

Then we took them to the children's section and read for a while.

There Charis learned how to turn pages.













When we left the library we went to Lund's to get lunch: a baguette, cheese, salami, chips, and strawberries. And for Papa, a nice sushi plate. (Only later did I discover that two of my girls like
Sushi.)



We went to Minnehaha Park to eat the lunch, see the waterfall, and play around in the water.











Then we all posed for a family portrait



Later in the evening we went to another graduation party, but I forgot my camera.

The only thing left undone on my list was climbing a tree!

But maybe I can do that tomorrow.
