Well, Dietrich qualified for the NYWA State Tournament in Rochester next weekend!
He took third place at the Lakeville Regional Qualifier today and the top 3 advance to state.
He only lost once (6-0) to a really sound technical wrestler who rode him out after a takedown or reversal every period. His other four matches were won 4-0, fall :55, fall :57, and fall :25 in the final match to go to state.
It was a great tournament all around, the referees were excellent, the tournament was well organized and the parents were (mostly) really good wrestling parents.
I didn't take any shots of the actual matches because I have to coach these matches. Here are a few miscellaneous pictures, though.
