The Incarnation of Jesus Christ and the Inauguration of the New Creation

Genesis 1
1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

Luke 1
34 And Mary said to the angel, How will this be, since I am a virgin? 35 And the angel answered her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.

Genesis 1
3 And God said, Let there be light, and there was light. 4 And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness.

John 1
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men.

5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

Genesis 2
7 then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.

John 20
19 On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, Peace be with you ... 22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit.

this is only tangentially related, but "the glory of the father" by egil hovland has always been one of my favorite songs i ever sang in chamber singers. the text comes from John 1.

i found an mp3 of the song through google. you can download it here.

there's also a really good choir that sings it if you go here (be sure to turn your speakers on!):

but that version ends in the middle of the song right at my favorite part!
